Cabo Roig

Scroll

Cabo Roig occupies a low clifftop above the Mediterranean — one of the more polished corners of Orihuela Costa, where a working marina, Blue Flag beaches and a lively seafront promenade come together in a setting that feels genuinely settled rather than still-developing. It has drawn an established international community for decades, and once you spend time here it is easy to understand why people who come on holiday eventually come back to buy.

The lifestyle

Life in Cabo Roig centres on the water. Mornings tend to start with a walk along the coves or a coffee at one of the seafront bars; afternoons belong to the beach, the marina, or a long lunch on the strip. The resident community is largely Northern European — British, Irish, Scandinavian, Dutch — many of whom spent years holidaying here before deciding to stay. The pace is relaxed without feeling sleepy, and the seafront buzz means there is nearly always something happening through the warmer months. Out of season it quietens considerably, which is precisely what a lot of permanent residents appreciate.

Beaches, golf & getting around

The beaches hold Blue Flag status, and the mix of open sandy stretches and quieter rocky coves gives the coastline genuine variety. The marina adds a nautical character that lifts Cabo Roig above a standard resort strip. Golf is well catered for across Orihuela Costa more broadly, with several established courses in the surrounding area. Both Alicante and Murcia Corvera airports are accessible from here, making it a practical choice for buyers who plan to fly in regularly or let their property when they are not in residence.

Property & the market

The housing stock in Cabo Roig leans towards the higher end. Sea-view apartments — often in well-maintained urbanisations with communal pools and gardens — sit alongside detached and semi-detached villas that offer more space and privacy. The clifftop position means that many properties carry elevated sea views, and that outlook is one of the principal things buyers seek here. Townhouses also feature in some of the more mature urbanisations. On the whole, Cabo Roig suits buyers who want a polished, established address with character rather than a recently-built resort development.

Why buy in Cabo Roig with Comaskey

Our team knows Cabo Roig properly — not just the listings, but the individual urbanisations, the orientations that deliver the best light and views, and the nuances that only come from spending real time on the ground. We work with buyers at every stage, from first visit to key collection, and we are honest about what a property delivers and what it does not.

Browse our current Cabo Roig listings or speak directly with the team — we are always happy to talk through what you are looking for and point you in the right direction.

We have never had a client come back to us unhappy with a property we introduced — because we only recommend homes we would buy ourselves.
